Brent started working for Vidal Sassoon in the late 1980s as a 17-year-old, progressing quickly through the ranks and onto the art team. He’s styled for The Face, GQ, Vogue and Esquire, while also working in the music industry, creating iconic looks for album covers, videos and magazine shoots. His haircuts have featured in contemporary British films such as Snatch and Layer Cake as he’s styled hair for the likes of Daniel Craig, Clive Owen, the England rugby team, footballers, Blur and Robbie Williams.

But it’s in his barbershop that he’s at home. There CEOs of advertising firms and banks mingle easily with actors and musicians as they wait for a seat in his chair. They know that, not only will they leave looking sharp, but that they can chat candidly while they’re there.

Now set up in No.10 Newburgh Street, just off Carnaby Street, it’s an environment as masculine as the bay rum and lime scent of their products. If the Pankhurst London barbershop wasn’t somewhere to go to get your hair cut, it’s somewhere you’d want to drop in for an espresso or a whisky. Which is just as Brent likes it.
