Takamichi Saeki @ Takamichi Hair, New York

Creative Director
Takamichi Saeki is recognized as one of New York’s top stylists, known for razor sharp cuts and effortless downtown appeal.
His artistic interpretation of hair is grounded in his background in the arts as he began his creative career in the art business. It was his passion in and experience with shape and form in painting that led Takamichi to his interest in hair styling, and what has made his cuts particularly precise, creative and unique. He began this second career at Siren, the NoLIta salon that developed a cult following the 1990s, when Andre Balazs and John Cale were regulars. Takamichi opened his first salon in 1999, since he has developed loyal followers, who are coming to see him from all over the world.
The Takamichi cut is a customized, precise cut tailored not only to each client’s hair texture and head shape, but also their lifestyle. His cuts are easy to maintain and look good weeks after.
