On October 4, 2016
L'Atelier Blanc, Paris
Our Luxury salon, L'Atelier Blanc by Frédéric Mennetrier expert in hair coloring, moved to Rue Vivienne in Paris. Veronique Gautier, Partner at The Leading Salons of the world™ visited the salon: a new space entirely white, and solely furnished with transparent and white objects.
L'Atelier Blanc, Paris
Frédéric Mennetrier collaborated with interior designer, Didier Blardat, to create an ideal space for his team to work, live and exchange. A place where colorists can develop their creativity, a place that offers the perfect escape for clients. Guests feel at home Rue Vivienne. Obviously, everything is white: stone walls, metal beams, furniture; the space has a both a modern and antique feel.
New address: 13 Rue Vivienne, Paris, 75002, France
Frédéric Mennetrier - Founder, Scenarist, Casting Director and Director of L'Atelier Blanc!
"I am a man of many colors - It’s a bug caught at an early age, almost in the crib, the little boy’s eye drawn to the bright colours of his first crayons, seduced, and then irremediably conquered by the promise of the thousand-and-one combinations in a box of water-colours."
"I’am a man for women - Their hair fascinates me, this raw material to sculpt, model, shape, in an infinite number of shades... After ten years of classic salon training, I joined the world of photo shoot hairstyling to give my passion free rein, inspired by my all-time icons, led by Gina Roland and Brigitt Nelson. Leading photographers, such as Jean-Paul Goude, Cédric Buchet, Sophia & Mauro, Satoshi and Serge Leblond, placed their faith in me; through them I learned how to work in a team and found out about the different stages in the creative process. How the stylist and hairdresser work in tandem to create life from a simple idea - a new character expressing itself for the duration of a series of photographs."
Frédéric Mennetrier, founder of L'Atelier Blanc
"I am a man of pictures - Crash, Citizen K, Vogue (Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Australian), Madame Figaro, 10 Homme, Elle, Marie-Claire, L’officiel (Russia), Purple... They all published my work. However, seeing these countless photos on glossy paper, I was consumed by a desire to go even further. Colour… I wanted to explore it at its source. It was a real obsession, which drove me to teach myself about chemistry. A long and patient chromatic research process, it revolved around unsuspected but nonetheless everyday materials: fur, velvet, the buttons of an old army jacket, the shades of red in a branch of coral; colour is everywhere, and I sought out ways of reproducing it faithfully, pigment by pigment, under any conditions. My work has allowed me to collaborate with the great names in hairdressing: Yannick d’Is, Luigi Murenu, Gregory Kaova, Stéphane Lancien, Malcolm Edwards, Marc Lopez, Odile Gilbert, Ward...). On fashion and advertising shoots, my knowledge of chemistry and the science of pigments has allowed me to provide personalised colour consultations from the shortest of briefs, in order to find the right substance, the perfect glint, the best way of capturing the light, in every place, at every time and under any conditions."

Veronique Gautier, Partner of The Leading Salons of the World™, experienced the new "Atelier Blanc".
"I had a wonderful experience. Loved the Salon. Very unique. A dream-like space for me...all white, very relaxing, a break from my speedy life. The whole team was both very professional and friendly. They really made me feel at home. Luc did a fabulous job finding the right base color for me and painted very tasteful golden highlights that lit up my face. Emmanuel and Audray were also very thoughtful and experienced, always making me feel catered to when it was time to. Thank you all again. My only regret is to have missed Frederic...well, we'll make it work on my next trip to Paris!"
