Kate Winslet Takes A Stand Against Unrealistic Beauty.
Kate Winslet’s decision to add a “No Photoshop” clause to her contract with L’Oréal is a good example of the notion we are encouraging. With this clause Kate Winslet stands against artificial retouching and unrealistic beauty and wants to show people who she really is through her own real appearance.
She declared that we have a responsibility toward the younger generation of women. She wants them to be self-confident and not hiding who they really are.
"I think they do look to magazines, I think they do look to women who have been successful in their chosen careers and they want people to look up to, and I would always want to be telling the truth about who I am to that generation because they've got to have strong leaders. We're all responsible for raising strong young women, so these are things that are important to me."
This is not the first time that Kate Winslet fights against unrealistic beauty. In 2003 when she was photographed by the magazine GQ and in 2013 when she saw pictures of herself retouched in the Vogue magazine and said that she didn’t look like that and didn’t want to look like that.
Indeed we are proud that Kate Winslet shares our philosophies at LSW and stands against the idea that aging is a bad thing. What really matters is youthfulness, the energy you broadcast and your state of mind. So let’s express your Real Beauty and be confident!
