PUMPKIN BEAUTY BENEFITS

Pumpkin Hair Mask

With its vitamin A and potassium, pumpkin will soothe your scalp and promote healthy hair growth. For a pumpkin hair mask mix two cups of chopped cooked pumpkin, one tablespoon of coconut oil, one tablespoon of honey, and one tablespoon of plain yogurt. Apply the mixture to damp hair and let it soak for 15 minutes. Rinse and shampoo for smoother, shinier strands.

Pure Pumpkin Puree attributes to your skincare.

Pumpkin-based masks remove dead skin cells and will help to promote new cell production. It will allow your skin to absorb the rest of your skincare products more efficiently. Just apply the pumpkin puree (cooked from fresh or canned) on your face.

And if you combine the pumpkin paste with its fruit enzymes with fine grains, you will get both a physical and chemical exfoliation!

Besides, pumpkin pulp contains:

  • beta-carotene, which acts as an internal sunscreen and protects against UV damage
  • amino acids, which strengthen the connective tissue and reinforce elasticity
  • antioxidants, which fight the signs of aging

Its vitamin A will also soothe and soften your skin and its vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, can help to remedy damage produced by free radicals. They are both necessary for radiant skin.

Pumpkin-based products

Pumpkin facial masks, moisturizers and peels nourish your skin and promote the absorption of these nutrients.

It is also very effective for hydrating cracked hands and feet. You can make your own dry heel treatment: mix 2 tbsp. of pumpkin puree with 2 tbsp. of Vaseline. Apply nightly to your feet, and put cotton socks on for a deep moisturizing treatment.

Pumpkin is also a natural anti-acne and helps removing blemishes or frequent breakouts. The reason is that it contains acne fighting vitamins E and T, (commonly known as torulitine). Try pumpkin-based skin toners, peels and masks to obtain a healthier skin. It will fight inflammation, reduce pore size and control oil excess. You can rub the fleshy side of a piece of fresh pumpkin on your face twice a day after washing for a natural blemish-fighting toner.
