Hairstyles For Men

Women tend to give huge importance to their hair and love to experiment to go with the latest hairstyle trends. Hairstyling options for women seem to be endless and trends fast moving. But men’s hairstyles and trends are different. Hairstyle trends for men evolve slowly – and that’s true for any contemporary men’s styling trend. Each and every one of them has its roots in hairstyles that were highly popular already in past seasons, but every single one went also through a constant evolution. Some have subtly progressed; others have split into several different directions. Here is our selection of our favorite men’s hairstyles from our LSW salons:

Hairstyles For Men

Brit Rock Hairstyle, Nicky Clarke Salon, Manchester
If there is one hairstyle that hasn’t left the hair trend reports, it is this one. Without a doubt, the Brit Rock Style stays present on the catwalks of the fashion weeks and introduced by the Beatles, this hairstyle will never become old-fashioned. This cut is perfect for young guys in their twenties or thirties and fits with both straight and curly hair. And it is not because you are not British that you can’t wear it. The strands are directed outwardly to open the face.

The Rockabilly Hairstyle, Trichomania Salon, Prague
When you hear Rockabilly the image of Elvis Presley and John Travolta in Grease immediately comes to mind. The famous cut of these personalities crossed the years and is still in the tune with the time. The Rockabilly is for the ones in the spirit of rebellion, Rock ‘n’ roll and those who are attracted to Bettie Page types. The hair is slick and directed up and back with height and volume.

The Long Hair, Cerini Salon, Buenos Aires
During many years long hair for men has been associated to grunge or surfer boys. It wasn’t considered as classy or glamorous but rather as a sign of letting go. But these days, men with long hair have been spotted on the runways and diverse fashion campaigns not to forget Brad Pitt in his recent Chanel No. 5 campaign. The look is intentionally bedraggled and can be worn with curly, straight or wavy hair. This cut has versatility and can be adapted to many situations.

The Curly Afro Hair, Local B Salon, Montreal
The curly afro hair is now worn by all nationalities and gives a ‘British rock-and-roll touch’. This style is perfect for an indie show or a music festival. It is one of the trickiest styles and needs men who have already natural curls and a lot of length. In fact, the challenge is essentially to maintain control of the curls in order to not have an effect of neglect.

The Basic, Concept Coiffure, Hồ Chí Minh City
It is the cut that is worn by most men. Certainly, the best about this men’s cut is: It is easy to style, wearable and fits with every guy of any age. And you don’t need to have a specific hair type. Everyone can adopt it. Natural and classy this cut is an ‘It’ for everyday.

The Side Slicked Hair, Noon Salon, Hamburg
The side slicked hair is the new hairstyle trend for 2013 for men and also women. This look is perfect for the office, a classy dinner or even event. Textured with mattifying products, the side slicked hair provides a natural finished effect and increases the volume. If you want to try this style you need to maintain length on the top of the head while removing any length of the back sides

The Pompadour Hairstyle, Avenida 244 Salon, Madrid
The pompadour hairstyle refers to a hairstyle which is named after Madame de Pompadour (1721-1764), mistress of King Louis XV, but has become prominent through the king of pop Elvis Presley during the 50s and 60s. Easy to create, this style gives a vintage touch at your look. The hair cut created by Avenida 244 gives a little wild touch to the style in order to modernize the cut. Like this the haircut is modern despite the vintage and classic inspiration.

The Woodcutter Style, Arnau Rayo Salon, Mallorca
Sign of masculinity, the woodcutter style is since few years one of the preferred styles for men. With long hair and a thick beard, every man who adopts this style wins in virility. It is ideal for men close to nature and those who don’t have a daily work life where they have to wear a suit.

The Short Waves, Dennis Creuzberg Salon, Berlin
This hair cut has interlocked messy waves and is connoted to a relaxed lifestyle. The cut that involves a half shaved and half curly head gives every man a natural but stylish touch. The natural effect is given by the nature of curls. This hairstyle is perfect for men who already have curly hair. Don’t try to adopt this style with fake curls; the effect won’t be the same.

The Trendy Cut, Kim Robinson Salon, Hong Kong and Singapore
With this cut you won’t stay unnoticed. The hair on the side is cut very short in order to accentuate the volume on the top. The hair mass is reduced at the top of the skull, with a lot of gel. This cut is for men who accept their trendy side and don’t mind spending some time in the bathroom in order to achieve the best effect.

The Structured Bob, Close Salon, Budapest
This style of our selection is probably for the most audacious. Indeed it is not easy to wear it in the everyday life. The strands are tapered in order to give volume and to structure the cut. This style is for the men who have straight hair and recommended for men who have fine lines and want to get a touch of originality.

The Disheveled Style, Esprit Coiffure, Luxembourg
The famous ‘bed head’ style always works. It gives the appearance that one has just left the bed in the morning and the hair is in disarray. The hair is raised in order to give light to the face and brushed with fingers for a natural effect. Small rebelling strands are made for a going out of the bed effect. This style is perfect for all relaxed men.
